   Traders Remain Extremely Cautious When Handling the Cattle Contracts

   Showlists for the week are steady to somewhat higher, greater in Texas and
Kansas, but steady in Nebraska.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   The livestock complex ended the day mostly lower as cautiousness and concern
seemed to be the market's overarching theme today. Showlists for the week are
steady to somewhat higher, greater in Texas and Kansas, but steady in Nebraska.
December corn is down 13 1/2 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down
$11.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 262.83 points and the NASDAQ is
down 43.74 points.
