DTN Closing Livestock Comment 07/13 15:32
   Traders Need Greater Fundamental Support

Without substantial fundamental support having developed, mixed to mostly
lower tones followed the livestock contracts through Monday's end.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

All in all Monday came and went and not much materialized throughout
Monday's trade for the livestock contracts as traders continue to desire to see
greater fundamental support -- but it hasn't risen at this point. New showlists
appear to be mixed, higher in Texas and Nebraska/Colorado, but lower in Kansas.
December corn is up 2 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down
$3.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 138.37 points and the NASDAQ is
down 408.43 points.
